Low Budget Filmmaking- The Blair Witch Project

At the time, The Blair Witch project was the highest grossing low-budget film of all time, it had a budget of $22,000. When watching the 'The Blair Witch Project' i thought it was very low budget i know this because throughout the whole of the film they used held hand cameras and the quality wasn't that great at all. Through most of the film it was set in the woods so therefore they didn't need any equipment to create different backgrounds. There wasn't any expensive props because they're was just pieces of wood, tent and the camping equipment that the actors used so therefore they didn't spend a lot of money for any pieces of equipment/props whatsoever. Throughout the film they didn't use any special effects or any sound effects which would possibly make the film a lot more scary. Finally in the end the Blair Witch wasn't actually shown in the film so therefore they saved more money by not actually adding any special effects/someone dressed up to make the Blair Witch shown.
